This bustling market, held every Wednesday, is a treasure trove of handmade crafts, textiles, jewelry, and spices. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, haggle with local vendors, and take home a piece of Goa's unique culture. The food is out of this world; see if you can find the guy selling huge, delicious fresh veggie samosas - you will never find better!
3. Palolem Beach: A Slice of Paradise No trip to Goa is complete without a visit to Palolem Beach. With its crescent-shaped shoreline adorned with swaying palm trees, Palolem is a haven for those seeking tranquility. Relax on the soft, golden sands, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, or explore the nearby Butterfly Beach. As the day unfolds, witness a mesmerizing sunset that paints the sky in hues of orange and pink. Visit Roccoco Pelton, definitely the coolest bar & restaurant, about halfway down the beach. The food (can you tell I am led everywhere by my stomach?!) is spectacular, with fresh barbequed seafood every night. And a weird, but wonderful, taco soup. There's no point trying to describe it, just try it!
I first visited this magical beach nearly 30 years ago, and while it has definitely changed from the quiet fishing village with a small handful of huts to a busy vibrant beach, the vibe is still there. So magical, we ended up getting married on the beach! A full Indian wedding, complete with Brahmin conducting the ceremony! But that's another story....
