Ski Adventure in Folgarida, Italy – Easter 2025

This Easter, I had the pleasure of experiencing a wonderful ski trip to Folgarida, Italy — a purpose built. north facing resort nestled in the Dolomites. After landing in Milan, our transfer began with a scenic journey through the Italian countryside alongside the lakes.

We stayed at Hotel Caminetto, a cozy eco friendly hotel ideally located near the slopes. With its warm hospitality, hearty breakfasts, and relaxing wellness area, it was the perfect base after our days on the mountain.

Folgarida is part of the expansive Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta ski area, offering over 150km of interconnected runs.

It’s relatively easy to ski over to the more glamorous resort of Madonna di Campiglio from Folgarida so you can experience the high life for a super value price.

Whether you're an intermediate skier or just learning, the Folgarida Ski School provides excellent instruction.

Although I’m an experienced skier, I took a 2hour private lesson with Alessandro, and the expert guidance made a noticeable difference in my technique.

April skiing is always super sunny and the resort has snow making on 80% of the slopes, so the conditions were perfect despite being the final week of the season.

Sunny afternoons were enjoyed in a deckchair at one of the many mountain restaurants with an Aperol spritz after a hard mornings skiing

Evenings were all about great food, and La Buca — a traditional pizzeria — quickly became our favorite spot for wood-fired pizza and friendly atmosphere.

I’ve repped many seasons in the French Alps so this was a great opportunity for me to experience some Italian resorts in person.

The best thing about Italian skiing is obviously the food and Aperos and the much quieter slopes.
