How the referral prize draw works

Taking part is simple:

Share my details with a friend, family member or colleague.
Ask them to mention your name when they first get in touch with me.
If they go on to book any holiday with me before 31 December 2026, you will receive one entry into the draw.
You will receive one entry for every successful referral, so the more people you introduce, the more chances you have to win.

The draw will take place on 1 January 2027, and I will contact the winner personally.

Referral Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

Promoter
The promoter of this prize draw is Katie May, Independent Travel Counsellor.

Promotional period
The promotional period runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026 inclusive.

Eligibility & definition of a referral
A “referral” is defined as a new client who has not previously booked with Katie May and who mentions the referrer’s name at the time of first enquiry.
The promotion is open to existing and new clients of Katie May aged 18 or over.

Qualifying bookings & entries
An entry into the prize draw is earned when a referred new client makes and completes a holiday booking with Katie May.
The booking must be confirmed within the promotional period (1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026).
The referrer will receive one prize draw entry for each referred new client who goes on to make a confirmed holiday booking within the promotional period.
Multiple entries are permitted: there is no limit to the number of eligible referrals a referrer can make.

The prize
The prize is a luxury day trip for two on the Northern Belle up to the value of £1,100, including any applicable taxes and charges, booked by the promoter.
The prize covers the cost of the Northern Belle day trip only, up to the stated value.

What is not included
Any costs above the prize value, plus any travel to and from the departure station, travel insurance, personal expenses, additional food and drink, or any other incidentals are the responsibility of the winner.

Availability and travel dates
Travel dates, itineraries and departure points are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Specific Northern Belle journeys may sell out or may not operate on all dates and from all stations. The promoter will work with the winner to choose from available options.

Prize conditions
The prize is non‑transferable, has no cash alternative and cannot be resold.
If the cost of the chosen journey is lower than the maximum prize value, no cash or credit will be given for the difference.

Draw date and winner selection
The prize draw will take place on 1 January 2027.
One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the promotional period.

Notification of the winner
The winner will be notified using the contact details held on file within 14 days of the draw.
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days of notification, the promoter reserves the right to draw an alternative winner.

Booking conditions
All holiday bookings made by referred clients, and any additional travel arrangements made by the winner, are subject to standard Travel Counsellors booking conditions and any relevant supplier terms and conditions.

Changes or cancellation of the promotion
The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion if necessary due to circumstances beyond her control, but will always endeavour to honour the spirit of the offer.
Any changes will not affect entries already earned prior to the date of change or withdrawal.<

Data protection
Personal data supplied in connection with this promotion will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection law and the promoter’s privacy policy.
Acceptance of terms
By taking part in this promotion, referrers are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
