Halkidiki, Greece

In May I flew from Newcastle to Thessaloniki in Greece, where I stayed at The Domes Noruz Kassandra – 5* adult only hotel in Hanioti, Halkidiki, Greece. I stayed 4 nights and had a lovely stay. The weather was actually really good and we even managed a dip in the sea.

Beautiful adults only hotel, beachfront with a very chilled vibe and good food. Great location for exploring either by taxis or hire car. Alternatively great if you just want to relax by the pool and beach and walk into the village. I was on a HB basis but had the Haute Living concept upgrade which gives you additional benefits like the HL lounge area with self serve snack, hot & cold drinks - a great add on!

The local village is walkable and has some nice boutique clothes shops, cafes, restaurants etc – small and traditional. We ate at Gary’s Gyros – very authentic and reasonable prices too.

We used taxis and had a day in Athitos – a very pretty village with a lovely church, local little shops, botiques and restaurant’s. I had a delicious Strawberry Sorbet sitting on the terrace, overlooking the sea – just beautiful location.

We also took a taxi to Pefkochori where we hired a speed boat for the day. We had a packed lunch from the hotel and sailed along the coast and over to Turtle Island. Stopping a couple of times for swimming and paddle boarding in the stunning blue water.

A great location if you like traditional Greek villages and getting out to explore.
