Sunny Sandals
To me the best way to spend a British winter is in the sun and that is exactly what my husband and I did.
14 nights in the gorgeous Sandals Royal in Barbados.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by staff singing a welcoming song to us followed by a cocktail.
We stayed in the Club Level Junior Palm Suite with outdoor Tranquillity Soaking Tub which is a gorgeous room. I would love to stay in one of the Bungalows with private pool someday.
February was a great time of year to visit Barbados as the humidity is a lot lower than the rest of the year but you still get the sunshine. We had the odd shower but that’s a small price to pay for paradise.
I always wake up so early when I’m away but this meant I got to see the sunrise most mornings in the perfect setting.
Not at any point did we feel hungry. The hotel has so many restaurants or food huts/cafes that are open all day long. Café De Paris is the best place in the resort. Open 7am -10pm every day. It’s like a Starbucks. Coffees, crepes, ice cream etc as often as you like and all included. Every hotel needs a Café De Paris.
We didn’t actually take advantage of all the activities the hotel offers as we were so relaxed just laying by the pool and eating! But every day and evening there was something you could get involved in if you wanted. Which I like having the choice.
One of the members of staff took us out for the day around the Island. He was great as only a local can show you the places you would never normally see. And he got us to try Pigs Tail! Which I didn’t even realise people ate that. Wasn’t bad actually ha ha.
This is the second Sandals Resort we have visited and we definitely would like to experience more. They are one of the best All Inclusive resorts I have stayed in.
