Beautiful Barbados
My Visit to the Caribbean Island of Barbados
Stayed in Holetown, St James in a Apartment
• I went in the dry season January which is lower rainfalls and higher temperatures
Warm and pleasant, with average daily highs around 29-30°C
• 1st and 2nd Street. These streets are famously popular, these streets are so well-known, because it is crawling with vibrant night-life, jam-packed with activity especially on a Sunday night when the tourists and locals get together in 1st street
singing Karaoke such good fun.
• I enjoyed a catamaran a long the Caribbean sea and swam with the Turtles what an experience that was.
• Beach Extravaganza Dinner Show at harbour Lights is a fantastic night out for all. It’s on a Wednesday and a Thursday night the entertainment was amazing the limbo dancing and fire eating and the bar and very tasty BBQ dinner was delicious.
• On a Friday night particularly, I went to Oistins fish fry Bay Gardens. The food is the main thing - excellent fish, (tuna, swordfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, flying fish), lobster, chicken etc with a very relaxing and chilled evening. You can get your fish
grilled or fried depending on which vendor you choose from. It's all cooked on the spot in front of you Loved that evening.
• An of course the beaches are just amazing.
• Just make sure if you go to Barbados you try the Rum Punch but be careful because it is very strong but yummy. Also the famous Rotis that’s a must you should try they do chicken, chicken and potato, beef or just potato and vegetable they are so
tasty. Try them with the Barbados hot pepper sauce on the side.
