Stress Free Traveling
1. Long-Haul Traveller? Arrive at Least 3.5 Hours Before Your Flight Security queues, bag drops, and passport control can all take longer than expected during peak times. Arriving early gives you a buffer—and peace of mind.
2. Short-Haul Flyers: Allow 2.5 Hours Minimum It might seem like a lot, but short-haul flights are just as prone to delays at check-in or security. Give yourself time to relax before you board.
3. Check In Online & Print Your Boarding Passes Most airlines open online check-in 24 hours before departure. Doing this saves time at the airport and reduces queuing—always a win.
4. Leave Home Earlier Than You Think You can plan your route, but you can’t predict traffic. Give yourself extra time so you’re not stuck clock-watching from the car.
5. Pre-Book Airport Parking – Go for Meet & Greet It’s the closest parking option to the terminal, and it takes the hassle out of finding a space or lugging your luggage across car parks.
6. Snacks & Water Are a Must Pack snacks for the car journey and the airport wait. Also, bring water bottles to drink before you go through security. Many airports now have refill stations airside too.
7. Dress Comfortably – And Think Security Friendly Loose layers and comfy shoes are your best friends. Avoid belts and chunky jewellery, which will all have to come off at security.
8. Be Security Ready Make sure all your toiletries are under 100ml and placed in a clear, resealable sandwich bag before you get to the security line. It speeds things up and keeps your cool intact.
9. Parents: Remember the Essentials, Let Go of the Rest As long as you've got the kids, passports, some cash and your credit card—you’re doing great. Children pick up on stress, so if you stay calm, they’re more likely to do the same.
10. Book with a Travel Counsellor This one’s my personal favourite ?? When you book with someone who takes care of all the little details, all you have to do is pack and go. I’ll worry about the logistics so you don’t have to.
