Fairmont Doha my hotel review

Located in the Lusail area of the city, the Fairmont Doha sits spectacularly on the skyline, the landmark Katara towers representing the crossed Scimitars. One Tower is the Fairmont Doha and the other 6* Raffles Doha, you can easily move between both hotels and use the bars and restaurants in both.

I stayed at Fairmont Doha a stunning hotel has an opulent white and Gold décor throughout but is not over the top it is actually quite subtle but wow, the team are friendly always happy to help, food was good and plentiful, great buffet selection for breakfast with freshly made eggs and pancakes to order at your table, there are three other dining locations, Masala Library an Indian inspired restaurants with views over the city, a small group of us had a lovely meal here and the food was amazing, the Dome for coffee and cake at any time of day and they also do afternoon tea, and finally Provok located on the 33rd floor of the Fairmont tower which is a bar and restaurant, the Bar has an outside balcony with amazing views over the city, the best place for a pre-dinner drink or a night cap, with cool DJ vibes playing,

There is a also a Gym, spa and outdoor pool with pool bar which serves light meals for lunch, can thoroughly recommend the salad and the club sandwich, and if you are in the pool around 4pm when it is really hot, expect to be joined but some meter long blocks of ice which help keep the pool cool when it is over 40 degrees,

The rooms are amazing, big and have everything you need, they definitely have the wow factor, be prepared for buttons, the lights, the blinds everything is buttons and the toilet even has a remote control and an automatic seat when you get close to the bathroom door, as you can see all ultra modern

The hotel has views over the Arabian Gulf but not beach front there is a shuttle to the beach club which is a short drive away or Ubers are so cheap in Doha, it is around 10 minute drive from the closest Mall ( £2.61 in an Uber) Place de Vendome, which has a fountain show each evening, but check the Mall before visiting as this one is all high end designers, the only thing I could afford was a coffee! But there are 94 Malls in Doha and some even have M&S, so find the right one for you. The Pearl area with restaurants is about 10 minutes and Souk Waqif about 20 minutes,

The metro is cheap, very clean in Doha and easy to navigate, most places can be reached my Metro or make sure you download the Uber App as this is so cheap

Would I recommend the Fairmont yes I would, great rooms, food, service
