There are many reasons why you might consider Saga Cruises for your next voyage; the small, yet spacious, ships, the first-class service, the elegant restaurants and the ease of cruising direct from the UK. Now, with the introduction of their new ship, Spirit of Adventure, you’ve got a new reason to get excited about sailing with the multi award-winning cruise line.
There are so many reasons to set sail on a Saga cruise, including all of these:
You’ll never be short of ways to spend your time onboard with opportunities to get active, be pampered, be entertained and unwind available throughout the ship.
If you like to keep to your health regime, visit the spacious gym for a workout on the hi-tech equipment or attend one of the fitness classes. There’s a golf simulator for practicing your swing and plenty of outside spaces to enjoy activities in the fresh air, such as yoga out on deck. For the best views at sea, head to the promenade.
If your cruise is an opportunity for a little ‘me time’, make your way to the hydrotherapy pool and infrared sauna on the Main deck, or indulge with a massage treatment at the Spa. Once you’re feeling refreshed, take a swim in in the outdoor pool, relax in the hot tubs, or find a cosy spot in the shade to stretch out on a sun lounger, enjoying snacks, waiter-served drinks and ice creams. When the weather is fine, there really is nowhere better.
Catch a West End-style show at The Playhouse theatre, where you’ll enjoy unrestricted views of the stage from each of the 444 seats. The theatre also plays host to classical musical performances, plays and cinema screenings, with something on show every night of your cruise.
Fine dining across all restaurants is included in the price of your cruise. Enjoy British and International dishes in The Dining Room, the ship’s classic main restaurant. You can look forward to favourites such as Seared Orkney Scallops and Rack of Grass-fed Lamb. Or for a fresh alternative, head to The Grill. Here you can dine inside, or outside on a wonderful verandah. In both restaurants open seating is the standard, with all meals served in a single sitting, with 5-star service from the expert waiters.
Spirit of Adventure will be visiting an array of fascinating destinations both this year and next, and how you choose to explore the ports of call is entirely up to you. Saga Cruises offer included sightseeing excursions in selected ports, while you can also choose from a diverse range of optional tours, or set off to explore independently.
