Suggested Itinerary

Day 1

Once checked into Shangri-La Singapore, take a leisurely stroll to the world famous impeccably beautiful Botanic gardens. Marvel at the astonishing waterfalls, palm valley lawn and so much more. Make your way over to the HarbourFront district for a spot of retail therapy. Down at the marina, stroll into Singapore’s largest shopping mall, Vivo City and delight at the gorgeous harbor views of the many gateways of the ocean.

Day 2

Translated into ‘peace and tranquility’ Sentosa Island can be accessed by a scenic cable car ride. Enjoy relaxation on one of the many glorious white sandy beaches, play a game of volleyball or golf and enjoy local Singaporean dishes at Singapore Seafood Republic. Nature lovers will be fascinated at Sentosa Nature Discovery trail or for those travelling with children, Adventure Cove Water park is a must do. Afterwards, Indulge in the rich vibrant culture and heritage of the Peranakans (a rich hybrid of ethnic traditions with a touch of Portuguese, Dutch and Indonesian influences) at The Intan in the Katong Joo Chiat precinct. Enjoy an authentic Peranakan experience on The Intan Tea Tour (by appointment only), then view the carefully curated antique Peranakan house and marvel at the multitude of vibrant relics like shoes, tiles and ceramics.

Day 3

 

Dedicate a day to the much beloved China town neighbourhood to discover an interesting and harmonious mix of cultures seen in the Tanjong Pagar, Bukit Pasoh, Kreta Ayer and Telok Ayer areas as you’ll experience a delightful mix of the old and new. Inspired by many nationalities of the world, Singapore has many incredible cultural spots including the Sri Mariamman Temple. This Hindu temple is a gathering spot of the community and is dedicated to Goddess Mariamman, who was known for her illness curing powers. Make your way to the Gardens by the Bay, this surreal area contains more than 500,000 species of plants for you to explore and discover. The Flower Dome here is a must see plus there is an exciting children’s area to keep everyone happy and occupied.

Day 4

 

A day of exploration awaits with a visit to The Southern Ridges, in Faber Park. where you can surround yourself with tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Bird watch and walk amongst the trees through ten kilometres of trails. This is a brilliant way to explore outside of the city and to see magnificent panoramic views of the city skyline. Full of trendy boutiques; kopitiams, corner coffee shops plus a huge range of bars and bakeries. Lined with row after row of quaint art-deco shophouses, this residential estate is jam-packed with some of the city’s hottest food and lifestyle establishments, not forgetting the heritage-rich places that offer a slice of traditional Singapore.

Day 5

 

Take it easy on your last day and enjoy learning about the history of Singapore at SAM ‘Singapore Art Museum’ this restored 19th century mission school one of the world’s most important collections by local, Southeast Asia and Asia artists. This magnificent museum embodies a worldwide perspective while celebrating contemporary Southeast Asian art. Then depart back to Changi Jewel airport, with time to explore true originality before your return flight home.
