I took my first holiday overseas at 13yrs old and I was instantly hooked. I will never forget the apprehension and excitement I felt in the lead up to the holiday, arriving at the airport, boarding the plane, the transfer to our hotel and most of all enjoying every minute in my chosen destination…..
As soon as I left school I joined the world of Travel so I could work in an industry I was so passionate about and learn about destinations all over the world.
I have worked in the Travel industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles. I have been extremely fortunate to experience so many wonderful trips across the globe, these include numerous Beach getaways, City holidays in Europe & Worldwide, River & Ocean cruises and some of the most memorable adventures worldwide, from snorkelling in the Great Barrier, back packing trips in South East Asia to a VIP 5* experience in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco just to name just a few.

Even a score of 10/10 does not do Helen justice. Of all the travel agents I reached out to, Helen was the only one who came back to me in a timely manner, actually listened to my requirements and was extremely personable. She didn’t just converse via Instagram and email, she spoke at length over the phone with me to make sure every detail was captured. Despite having a long list of requirements and working to a budget, she still pulled it out of the bag even throwing in a wild card option. She is a true expert in her field and a credit to the industry. I could not be more happy with the choices she presented; making the decision to proceed was the easy part. I've normally sorted all my own holidays out previously booking separate flights and accommodation but wow what a difference to remove that stress and Helen took care of us seamlessly. Helen took the time to get to know what we liked, showed attention to detail and didn't rush us. Helen was fabulous, this was the first time we'd used Travel Counsellor. Helen took ownership of helping us at the 11th hour following a holiday cancellation with Tui. I would highly recommend Helen, I felt like she has a very professional but relaxed style which instantly puts you at ease when trying to explain what you would like from a holiday and maybe things that you are unsure about. Nothing was too much trouble, she explored all dates and options available to us to come up with a holiday that suited us in terms of budget and experiences she recommended the room she thought would be best for us based on our family and child's age and offered advise on places to visit and eat. She reassured is about the situation regarding covid and what questions she would ask the resort nearer the time if restrictions were still in place. Helen has genuinely provided a bespoke travel booking service that has been tailored to our every need along every step of the way.
As a family, we had some anxiety about booking holidays online after we had lost money due to Covid last year, so we decided to go through an agent - it was important to us that they were impartial so that they could guarantee the best market prices. Helen suggested destinations, extras and experiences that we didn't even think of looking at and made us feel secure and prioritsed.
She wasn't in any way like a sales executive trying to be pushy, she offered us a personalised experiences based on our needs and wants as a family.
We ended up booking two holidays a family all-inclusive and a European city break - Helen has assured us that she can offer support before, during and after our holidays.
I very rarely write reviews but I couldn't not leave one because I am so satisfied with my experience so far. Would definitely recommend and this will be the way I book my holidays going forward.
