Discover glamourous Nice and Monaco
Starting in Nice, explore the Old Town with a stroll through the Cours Saleya market, known for its vibrant flower market and fresh produce. Climb Castle Hill for panoramic views of the city - there’s a lift if you’d like the view without the exertion!
You’ll stay at the iconic Hotel Negresco, an opulent Belle Époque era landmark on the famous Promenade des Anglais. Le Negresco Beach Club is highly rated for its upscale offerings and captivating views of the Riviera’s azure waters glinting under the midday sun. Monaco is of course within striking distance of Nice, so take the scenic route to Monte Carlo to enjoy a glass of fizz in Place du Casino or lunch on a terrace overlooking the marina.

Allons à la plage
Your next stop is Cannes where, beyond the film festival, you'll find vibrant, sandy beaches and luxury shopping along the Croisette, and a charming old town, Le Suquet, where you can wander quaint streets. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring the sunlit cafés of Saint Tropez, the pristine beaches and rich vineyards of Ramatuelle, or the charming canals of Port Grimaud, often called the ‘Venice of Provence’.
The Art Deco Hotel Martinez will be your Cannes base, with arguably the best location on the Croisette. Head to La Plage du Martinez private beach club, or newcomers like Lucia, a colourful restaurant and beach bar from the people behind Nikki Beach. Dine at the hotel’s renowned two-Michelin-starred restaurant, La Palme d'Or.

Vineyards, lavender, and art
Drive inland through rolling vineyards made golden under the Provençal sun, punctuated by fields of lavender, rosemary, and thyme.
At Aix-en-Provence, wander markets overflowing with aubergines and wild mushrooms, or retrace the steps of the 'father of modern art', Paul Cezanne, at the Jas de Bouffan mansion and his renovated former studio, Les Lauves, near those famed vantage points of Montagne Sainte-Victoire. His legacy will be honoured at Cézanne 2025, which includes a landmark retrospective at the Musée Granet this summer.
Stay at La Villa Gallici, a peaceful countryside retreat in the style of a Florentine mansion, bedecked in velvets and damasks, and part of the Relais & Chateaux group. Unwind in the extensive gardens, where you'll find a beautiful terrace shaded by plane trees and a heated outdoor swimming pool.

Uncover Avignon's rich history
End your time in Provence in Avignon, a city rich in history and culture. Visit the Palais des Papes, a UNESCO World Heritage site - the residence of popes during the 14th century - and not forgetting the Cathedral next door. A short stroll away, you’ll also find Le Pont d’Avignon, a famous medieval bridge that abruptly ends over the Rhône. You can still walk along the preserved section for stunning views of the river and Avignon.
Stay at the La Divine Comédie, a 17th-century guesthouse with just five rooms, chock-full of antiques, set in the largest private garden in Avignon. Take a trip to a local winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where centuries of craftsmanship infuse every vintage.
