A journey through the best of Singapore and Bali

Start off in Singapore

Get off to an exciting start in one of the world’s fastest-evolving cities, exploring its many unique delights, from the Gardens of the Bay greening project to Chinatown with its heritage buildings and hawker food. Tour the lively enclave of Little India with its brightly painted shophouses, colourful street art, temples, and mosques, and hop on a ferry to Pulau Ubin to be transported back to 1960s Singapore. Here, you can use the cycle trails and footpaths to explore traditional Kampung villages and the Chek Jawa Wetland Nature Reserve.

You’ll spend two nights in contemporary luxury at The Clan Singapore, in a neighbourhood dotted with clan associations – Singapore’s forefathers helped Chinese settlers make this land their own. The hotel’s uplifting spaces include the level-30 Sky Pool. From here you’ll spend another two nights at the hip, adults-only The Outpost Sentosa, located on Singapore’s Sentosa Island with its beaches, tropical landscapes, and attractions including an iFly wind tunnel and a zip wire.

Bask in Bali’s beauty

From here you’ll head to Bali’s southerly beach resort of Seminyak, for three blissful nights at the Potato Head Beach Club with its infinity pool, beach bar, DJ sessions, and sunset views. Bali is one of our favourite destinations in Asia for its intoxicating mix of beaches, jungles, mountains, culture, and luxury resorts. Its cultural hub is Ubud – an uplands town known for its artistic communities which is surrounded by rainforest, rice terraces, Hindu temples, and rock-cut shrines.

Here you’ll spend two nights at the Alila Ubud, a hillside retreat perched high above the Ayung River, with a holistic spa offering locally inspired treatments such as the lulur body scrub, an ancient village remedy originating from the rice farmers of Bali. Things to do in this part of the island range from pulse-racing whitewater rafting on the Ayung River to browsing Gianyar Night Market and checking out Ubud Palace, still home to the royal family. From Ubud you can head to the temple complex at Taman Ayun and to Tahan Lot, one of seven sea temples said to form a ‘chain’ around the island.

Last but definitely not least come three nights at Anantara Uluwatu, on the south-west tip of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula – a setting that is also home to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple and some wonderful surfing beaches. As befits this chic brand, the Anantara is a spellbinding high-end resort – one that unfolds across a cliffside over the Indian Ocean, with terraced architecture that ensures ocean views from each and every angle.

10 February 2026

Shizuoka is one of those places that quietly delivers on everything people love about Japan, without the intensity that often comes with it. Perfectly placed on the Golden Route between Tokyo and Kyoto, it’s easy to reach yet rarely feels overrun. This is a region where everyday life and travel experiences blend naturally, giving you space to explore at your own pace, whether that’s over a long weekend or as part of a wider journey across the country.

A family-friendly way to experience Mount Fuji

Japan has a way of rewarding travellers who slow down, and Hanz Outdoor Resort is especially well suited to families looking for space and ease. Set in the Lake Kawaguchiko area, it offers clear views of Mount Fuji while remaining straightforward to reach from Tokyo. Rather than packing days with long journeys, families can settle into one place and let the mountain become part of daily life, from relaxed mornings to evenings spent outdoors together. It’s a base that works just as well for first visits to Japan as it does for families returning to explore further.
