Discover the Dominican Republic's first luxury resort

Opened 50 years ago and the very first resort in the Dominican Republic, the Casa de Campo remains one of our top recommendations in the Caribbean for those who like a bigger resort with lots to do.

Discover the Dominican Republic's first luxury resort

Set in 7,000 lush acres, this is a gated property with no fewer than three world championship golf courses (one ranked the best in the Caribbean). The use of a golf cart is included for each guest to take you around the courses but also to the resort’s three private white-sand beaches, its Minitas Beach Club & Restaurant, marina, equestrian centre offering polo and other activities, shooting course, and eight outstanding restaurants.

And now the Casa de Campo is even bigger and better than ever…

New spa and wellness centre

New to Casa de Campo for 2023, and unlike anything else found in the Dominican Republic, is this vast complex with its cutting-edge technology. There are 12 treatment rooms (all with private gardens and outdoor rain showers) and a state-of-the-art hydrothermal circuit that includes a sauna, steam bath, vitality pool, cold water pool, thermal loungers, Kneipp Walk, and outdoor pool.

Spa treatments use products by Moringaia, a family-owned, truly natural skincare and wellness brand made sustainably on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. It actually began life as a mission to end deforestation by creating the demand for Moringa (the ‘Miracle Tree’) and giving back to the local community, and all products are made in its solar-powered lab.

The wellness centre also has fitness offerings galore, including yoga sessions held in serene settings, Pilates, HIIT workouts, and bootcamps. The Spa Café was designed to complement your wellbeing journey, with a carefully crafted menu combining nutritional choices with a sense of indulgence.

New Premier Suites

Absolutely exceptional, suites have up to three bedrooms (ideal for multigenerational holidays or groups of friends). They come with access to their own club with its exclusive bar and lounge, with top-shelf drinks and complimentary canapés and appetisers prepared by the executive chef.

The suites come in the form of Junior Suites with a king or two double beds and a living room with a pullout sofa, then one and two bedroom suites, and lastly one three bedroom Presidential Suite with a living room complete with sofa bed, a full kitchen with a staff entrance, and dining room for up to eight people.

The suites themselves, decorated in relaxed Caribbean chic, come with private butler service. You'll also enjoy custom pillow and aromatherapy menus, a selection of artisanal gourmet coffees and teas, a Kohler-accessorised bathroom, 1,000 thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, a full-size premium wet bar, and a private terrace or balcony.

Other reasons to stay at the Casa de Campo

This incredible resort has three main pools and a further three pools at the beach club (one of them an infinity), plus an indulgent poolside concierge service. From adult-only to children’s splash areas, there’s something for everyone. You can also choose from eight outstanding restaurants.

In addition to the other fabulous accommodation, Casa de Campo has villas that provide the ultimate seclusion while benefiting from its amazing facilities. The resort also has an impressive all-inclusive package embracing unlimited horse rides, non-motorised water sports at Minitas Beach, and activities in the family programme. This is along with meals, snacks and room service, and extensive cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic drinks at the resort’s signature restaurants, bars, and lounges.
