Your Cruise

Departing Southampton, you’ll visit, in turn, Ponta Delgada in the Azores, St John’s in Antigua (with an inclusive shore excursion), Gustavia in St Barthélemy, Road Town in Tortola, San Juan in Puerto Rico (with another inclusive shore excursion), and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

You’ll spend Christmas Day relaxing at sea, enjoying all the facilities of your remarkable vessel, a boutique cruise ship who sailed her inaugural season in 2021. On Boxing Day you’ll enjoy the delights of Kingston, Jamaica, with a shore excursion included, before heading to Willemstad in Curaçao, Port of Spain in Trinidad (with an inclusive shore excursion) and Castries in Saint Lucia – with a late-night departure on New Year’s Eve.

You’ll spend the first day of 2023 experiencing the buzz of Barbados’ Bridgetown, perhaps heading to one of the island’s famed white-sand beaches for a day of pure relaxation. You’ll then head back across the Atlantic to Southampton, with a stop-off in Funchal, Madeira, en route.

Spirit of Adventure

The lovely sister to Spirit of Discovery, this vessel also has surprises of her own, including exciting new restaurants and contemporary artworks and decor. As she’s a boutique ship, there’s a private balcony as standard. This is one of the Saga’s most distinctive features: every cabin has a balcony, including single cabins, so everyone has their own space to enjoy the views and fresh air and soak up the sunset views as they head to their next fabulous destination.

Saga’s Travel Insurance with Coronavirus Cover

Saga have been working hard to ensure that its guests can travel with complete peace of mind. Their cruises now include coronavirus cancellation cover, as well as optional insurance as standard (or a price reduction if you don’t need it). This optional included travel insurance for over-50s is on all overseas holidays and embraces up to £5m emergency medical and repatriation cover for coronavirus.

Saga now also provides flexible cancellation cover should you need to cancel due to coronavirus medical conditions prior to departure. This cover is available under the additional cancellation rights cover if you purchase optional travel insurance.
