Sailing around Iceland (and out to the Faroe Islands) gives you a fascinating mixture of waterfalls, glaciers, and other natural wonders. One of the main highlights takes place at the epic Seyðisfjörður where you can sail around the eponymous fjord, head out on a kayak to immerse yourself in the scenery, venture to see puffins and other nesting birds settled on teetering cliffs, encounter sea lions, go fishing, or tackle hiking trails through pristine nature.

Exciting excursions to choose from en route include learning about Arctic foxes and avalanches in Súðavík in the Westfjords. Its fascinating The Arctic Fox Centre is a museum and research centre dedicated to Iceland's only native land mammal.

This round-trip takes you to the remote and cosy, yet surprisingly lively, capital of Svalbard, into the heart of this distant archipelago that has long lured explorers with its possible polar bear sightings and other thrilling views. Inhaling the freshest air on the planet, you’ll take in sparkling glaciers, snow-swathed mountains, and glittering ice caves.

One of the highlights of Svalbard’s northern region, with its impressive fjords, bays, and glaciers, is Nordaust-Svalbard Nature Reserve, which includes Spitsbergen’s east coast, the Hinlopen Strait, Nordaustlandet, and some islands further east. Here you’ll see walrus haul-outs, spectacular bird cliffs and islands, and Arctic desert plants.
