This adventure takes you from the sights of ancient Greece to Santorini with its epic sunsets and volcanic beaches, before a late-night stay in Kotor to explore one of the Adriatic’s best-preserved (UNESCO-listed) old towns. Dubrovnik is also World Heritage-listed, for its vast stone walls, 7th-century squares and winding streets, but Sibenik is no less charming, with more walls, palaces, fortresses, Dalmatian houses and national parks. From there you’ll discover Slovenia’s largest coastal town, Koper, with the possibility of hiking through the UNESCO-listed Škocjan Caves or a trip to Lake Bled. You’ll finish in wonderful Venice, where we can extend your stay.

This wonderful trip also begins in Athens, before heading to Monemvasia with its stone buildings carved into the hillside. You’ll then enjoy two late stays on Crete, perhaps exploring Byzantine churches or visiting a winery, before hopping to Santorini, where you might ride a cable car to the rim of the caldera. Your next late-night stay gives you time to discover beautifully preserved medieval Rhodes Town before heading to the charming Turkish seaside town Marmaris. Yet another late-night stay at Kusadasi will let you appreciate UNESCO-listed Ephesus including the Temple of Artemis – among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

12-Night Italy Intensive Voyage

This is a real Italian adventure, taking in many of the country’s loveliest spots as well as UNESCO-listed Kotor in Montenegro. It begins with two glorious days exploring Venice before heading to Ravenna with it magnificent mosaics or the option of discovering medieval Bologna. Next on the itinerary is Ancona, with its seafood delights, then Siracusa, where there’s the chance to immerse yourself in Sicilian cuisine with a cooking class. Amalfi is one the classic Italian stop-offs, and your call here allows you to visit Sorrento for gorgeous views of Capri. The highlight, perhaps, is the two-night stay in the port of Livorno, which allows you to explore Florence and Pisa – which scarcely need an introduction. Finishing up in Rome, revel in fresh pasta, architectural masterpieces and world-class art.

You can kick off this thrilling trip café hopping and shopping in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, before taking in Marseille with its fishing harbour and North African souks, Monte Carlo in all its glitz and glamour, and Florence and Pisa from the port of Livorno. From here you enjoy a late-night stay to make the most of Rome, then two more late nights – one to explore Sorrento or visit the ruins of Pompeii, another to discover Amalfi. From Italy, you head to Kotor in Montenegro, Šibenik in Croatia (gateway to te Krka National Park) and Koper, Slovenia (with an extra late stay). Your trip finishes in Venice with an overnight stay.
