Other reasons to stay at the Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island

Olhahali Island looks very different from most resorts in this ultimate tropical destination, with a modern, all-white aesthetic to its chic beach and overwater villas – all of which come with infinity pools and expansive roof terraces. There is also the option of adding even more luxury experiences such as floating breakfasts in your villa pool, private dining, seaplane transfers, and the services of a private photographer.

As well as the usual Maldivian pursuits of diving and snorkelling on the house reef or further afield, which come with a high chance of seeing friendly turtles and stingrays, the resort offers beach volleyball, underwater photography, coconut oil making, and a whole array of other activities.

There are also fabulous restaurants, including the award-winning venue Shimmers, a sunny beach club with Greek and other Mediterranean dishes, and Glow with its all-day global dining. Other options include Kayto with its delicious Peruvian–Japanese fusion cuisine (don’t miss the crispy rice with Maldivian spicy tuna tartare) and Gelateria with its artisan ice cream and frozen yogurts.

Make memories in the Maldives with the family

28 November 2023

As the Maldives is becoming a popular choice with families, not just couples, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi stands out as an especially brilliant resort for those with kids for a whole array of reasons. One of them is that it counts under-15s as children (at most resorts it’s un-der-12s), and they not only stay for free with two paying adults when staying in the same room, but they also enjoy the same board basis free of charge.
