Marine wonders
The Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is rich in sea life. Discover it on diving and snorkelling trips, including night-time outings to see reef sharks, whale sharks, and more. Within it, Hanifaru Bay is particularly magical – a place to witness more than 100 manta rays feeding and dancing in acrobatic displays. The bay is actually most famous as a nursery ground for grey sharks, but from mid-May until December it fills with plankton that attract manta rays to feed.
