Inside the Madinat Jumeirah

Inspired by an Arabian citadel, Madinat Jumeirah is one of our very top recommendations for a luxurious escape. Like a mini city in its own right, it brings together four luxury beachfront hotels to offer uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf and Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. It offers more than 40 restaurants and bars (serving everything from Arabian to southern French cuisine), extensive wellbeing facilities including the Talise Spa with its 26 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, and tranquil gardens with more than 3km of waterways - along which a fleet of traditional abra boats ferry you seamlessly between the properties.

Other highlights include the J Club with its four tennis courts and three padel courts, unlimited complimentary access to the incredible, award-winning Wild Wadi Waterpark, two kids’ clubs with daily activities and entertainment, and even an in-house souk showcasing Arabian crafts and food.

This mighty resort brings together Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, which is a boutique-style retreat just steps from the beach, and the Jumeirah Al Qasr, a palatial property inspired by ‘One Thousand and One Nights' – both of which we are delighted to announce are now even better than ever thanks to recent renovations.

Then there’s also Jumeirah Al Naseem, a cool contemporary retreat with the closest rooms to the beach, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf with its traditional summerhouses, and the super-exclusive Malakiya Villas – just seven of them, complete with up to three bedrooms.

All this and you’re only 25 minutes’ transfer from Dubai International Airport and within easy reach of major attractions, including the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, and world-class shopping malls.

We’ve showcased Jumeirah Mina A’Salam and Jumeirah Al Qasr in more detail and explained why we rate them so highly.

Jumeirah Mina A'Salam

Set across its own private beach nestled within the Madinat Jumeirah resort, this charming boutique-style hotel blends authentic Arabian experiences with family-friendly service. Newly renovated, its gorgeous spacious rooms and suites, with their sea-view balconies, fuse traditional Arabic style with modern flair in a grand way including rich mosaic tiles and fabrics that are offset by a calming neutral colour palette. Sitting at the heart of this sprawling resort, the Mina A'Salam also pays homage to ancient Middle Eastern fishing and sailing traditions with features such as elegant wind towers, lagoons, and canals.

Wonderful dining experiences at the property include some of the best and most authentic Mexican cuisine in the whole of Dubai at Tortuga, along with classic Chinese dishes, handcrafted dim sum and yum cha brunches at Zheng He’s which is enhanced by its water’s-edge setting and old-world charm. The Mina Ahas also just welcomed Margaux, a Parisian-inspired patisserie with delicate sweets by acclaimed executive pastry chef, Alexandre Dufeu.

Jumeirah Al Qasr

Embodying the stories of ‘One Thousand and One Nights’, The Palace – is a celebration of royal summer palaces, and its newly refurbished rooms and suites have traditional Arabian-style interiors with glorious sea views. We’re particularly excited by the fully-renovated Royal Suite and Presidential Suite, the former with a redesigned dining area and new arabesque ceiling joists and mosaics in the flooring, the latter with a new feature wall adding to the traditional Middle Eastern design.

You can eat royally at the Jumeirah Al Qasr too, with superb dining options including the award-winning Italian Pierchic at the end of its private pier and at The Hide, a sophisticated modern steakhouse with a jazz club ambiance.
