These six days in some of the most compelling destinations in all Italy begin in the cradle of Western civilisation and Christian culture – a vast open-air museum – and take you to hectic Naples and the world-renowned Pompeii ruins created by the 79AD eruption of Vesuvius. You can also take in the legendary Amalfi Coast and nearby idyllic islands.

Day 1: Arrival

Meet your driver at Rome airport or train station for your private transfer to your centrally located hotel.

Day 2: Imperial Rome

Enjoy a guided visit of the ancient ruins of the Roman empire before travelling by high-speed train to Naples.

Day 3: Naples and Pompeii Excavations

Take a full-day tour of the ash-buried Roman city of Pompeii followed by the vibrant city of Naples.

Day 4: Naples Free and Easy/Optional Tours

Discover Naples’s icon food traditions (perhaps with an pizza-making class) or take an Amalfi Coast or Capri excursion.

Day 5: Naples to Rome

Return by train to the ‘eternal city’ to explore under your own steam or take an optional Vatican Museums tour.

Day 6: Departure

Breakfast in your hotel then transfer by private car to the station or airport for your return home.
