Princess Cruise adds sports-themed cruise to Enchanted Princess

Princess Cruises guests can hear from a line-up of sport legends on a new sports-themed cruise on UK homeport ship Enchanted Princess in August.

The ‘Sports Stars’ cruise will take place on a seven-night Spain and France voyage departing August 5, 2022. It will be hosted by Olympian Gail Emms MBE, who will run a series of Q&A sessions with sport names spanning rugby, cricket and the Olympics.

The impressive achievements of the guest speakers include: Martin Johnson CBE, Phil Tufnell, Sir Steve Redgrave and Gail Emms MBE.

Enchanted Princess joined the Princess fleet in November 2021 and will join Sky Princess, Emerald Princess, and Island Princess to sail out of Southampton this year.

7 days through Spain and France

Starting from a convenient departure port in Southampton, this seven-day cruise journeys south to Guernsey and down the western coast of France, stopping in La Rochelle, before continuing on to Spain’s lush northern coastline to visit Bilbao and La Coruna.

With excursions available in every port of call (at an additional fee), you’ll get to really experience the destinations that you visit. In Guernsey there’s a bicycle tour of Sark Island, the smallest of the Channel Islands and one that is free from cars and all the trappings of modern life. The stop in La Rochelle is an opportunity to explore the historic city of Bordeaux with its magnificent churches, manicured gardens and 18th-century neoclassical architecture which has earned it a spot as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Foodies can really indulge in Bilbao, sampling the Basque region’s best flavours in the city’s old quarter on the ‘From Market To Plate’ guided tour.
