Recently, some of our Travel Counsellors headed off on an amazing trip to Thailand, where they were lucky enough to stay in some of our favourite properties and truly get a feel for what they can offer to our guests. We’re delighted to offer you exclusive benefits at one of them...

Meliá Phuket Mai Khao

Our Travel Counsellors spent their first night at Melia Phuket Mai Khao, which is certainly a great spot for a luxurious tropical escape. Located on the longest beach in northern Phuket and consisting of all suites and private-pool villas. Horse-riding on the beach and visits to the Turtle Foundation are among the activities on offer, but this is also a place for deep relaxation with a lovely holistic spa, personalised wellness programmes, and authentic Mediterranean and Mexican flavours in its restaurants. There’s also a kids’ club for those travelling as a family.

Elephant Hills

Next up on the trip was two-nights at the wonderful Elephant Hills. We love this unique luxury jungle camping experience with its ‘Elephant Experiences’ at the heart of the Khao Sok National Park. Many of the magnificent pachyderms resident here worked in the logging industry until this was made illegal in 1989. You can feed them one of their daily meals, and watch them play, interact and graze in the natural environment of the nature park. In addition there are fantastic activities on offer including trekking, canoeing, and jungle and nature safaris.

Devasom Khao Lak Resort

The final night of this remarkable trip was spent in complete luxury at the Devasom Khao Lak Beach Resort. This boutique hotel has a gorgeous setting on Khao Lak Beach with its famed sunsets and boasts tropical gardens and coconut groves, set around a horizon-edge pool at their core. This is one of our favourite places for a winter sun getaway, with the laid-back seaside town of Phang Nga Province offering fantastic snorkelling and diving spots, not forgetting the famously beautiful Phi Phi Islands. Activities in and around the hotel include cookery classes and craft sessions, spice tours, kayaking, paddleboarding, and eco bike tours.
