Travel Counsellors experienced the property through delicious lunches and dinners in restaurants including the new Verde Mar, which takes a vegetable-forward approach and focuses on fresh produce as the hero of each dish. They also enjoyed a water circuit in the brilliant volcanic spa, as well as a tour of the property in its entirety including the Villa Club. The restyled accommodation
The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama has more than 450 rooms and suites, all with a balcony or terrace (some ocean-view), so there’s something to suit everyone, from couples to large families.
This is a great place to get together with loved ones: its Villa Club offers a more personalised experience with a selection of two-storey casitas in a more secluded setting, so large groups and families can enjoy some privacy. All are close to the fabulous Ritz Kids’ Club and have access to two exclusive swimming pools (one adults-only) to give you the space and freedom you need.
The exquisite dining
Our Travel Counsellors loved trying out the resort’s new restaurant with its focus on vegetables, but there are a whole host of places to eat at this impressive resort. For fine Canary Islands cuisine there’s El Mirador, Txoko offers a modern takes on classic Spanish dishes, Verona is all about innovative Italian cuisine, and The Beach Club offers relaxed outdoor dining with beautiful views of nearby La Gomera Island.

Our Travel Counsellors saw that time together is what it’s really all about at The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama. Whether that’s in one of the seven swimming pools, around the ocean-view championship golf course or tennis academy, or while you’re making the most of the running and hiking trails through the resort’s lush 160-acre estate.
Nearby attractions include boat trips to spot whales and dolphins, viewing the night sky at the world’s largest solar observatory on Mount Teide, and even helicopter tours around Mount Teide’s summit.
