This 19-day journey blends the untouched beauty of Nordic landscapes, the energetic pulse of New York City, and the incredible sight of a solar eclipse at sea. You’ll sail aboard Cunard's Queen Mary 2 for a 14-night exploration of remote fjords - including witnessing the rare spectacle of a solar eclipse - before concluding with a four-night stay in Midtown Manhattan. From the tranquil fjords of Norway and the roar of Niagara Falls to the bright lights of Broadway and the iconic Empire State Building, the very best of natural and manmade wonders are waiting.

Day 1–2: Southampton and Bruges

Begin your voyage in Southampton aboard Queen Mary 2, the last of the great ocean liners still in operation and home of the famous White Star Service. Settle into your Britannia Sheltered Balcony Cabin, enjoy gourmet dining in the Britannia Restaurant, and relax by the pool.

Your first port of call is Zeebrugge, the gateway to Bruges. Discover a city filled with cobblestone streets, chocolate shops, and wide canals. Stroll along Markt Square or indulge in authentic waffles after climbing the medieval Belfry for views over terracotta rooftops.

Day 3–5: Norway’s Fjords

After a peaceful day at sea, awaken to the dramatic scenery of Olden, Norway. A scenic tender ride leads you to twisting valleys and turquoise lakes. Admire the mirrored waters of Lovatnet Lake or venture through the misty Kjenndalen Valley, where Europe’s largest glacier, Jostedalsbreen, stands frozen in time.

From Olden, sail through Innvikfjorden and Nordfjord, surrounded by snow-tipped peaks, waterfalls, and charming red cottages.

The following morning brings Skjolden, hidden deep within the Sognefjord, known as the ‘King of Fjords’. Breathe in the crisp mountain air as lush farmland blends with the blue-green waters of Lustrafjorden, perfect for a tranquil cruise or glacier exploration.

Day 6–7: At Sea

Two days at sea give you time to unwind and take advantage of the Queen Mary 2’s world-class facilities. Enjoy ultimate comfort in your stateroom, featuring a private balcony, cosy lounge area, luxurious Penhaligon’s toiletries, and attentive service from your dedicated steward. Whether strolling along Deck 7’s promenade or savouring exquisite dining in the Britannia Restaurant, Cunard’s White Star Service won’t disappoint.

Day 8: Ísafjörður

Begin your Icelandic adventure in Ísafjörður, located in the untouched Westfjords. Explore dramatic cliffs, serene fjords, and the quaint streets of the town. For a peaceful getaway, visit the nearby village of Flateyri, or take a trip to Vigur Island, where Iceland's last windmill stands among seabirds and puffins.

Day 9–10: Reykjavík

Next, head to Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital. Visit iconic landmarks like the Hallgrímskirkja Church or unwind in the soothing waters of the Blue Lagoon. Don’t miss the chance to sample authentic Icelandic dishes like Kjötsúpa (lamb soup) and craft beers.

The highlight of your stay? A spectacular solar eclipse. This rare celestial event will transform the skies over Reykjavík, casting a dramatic shadow across the landscape.

Day 11–14: The Transatlantic Crossing

Prepare for the splendour of the North Atlantic during this four-day crossing. Attune to the soothing rhythm of the sea as you enjoy gala evenings, expert lectures with Cunard Insights, and classical concerts. Afternoons invite you to lose yourself in the largest library at sea or take in a celestial show at the Illuminations Planetarium.

Day 15–19: New York City

Depart the Queen Mary 2 in New York to begin a four night stay at the Westin New York Grand Central in Midtown East. Your time in Manhattan is entirely yours, whether seeking cultural landmarks, culinary diversity, or unforgettable entertainment. Why not enjoy world-class performances on Broadway, wander Central Park’s paths, or ascend the Empire State Building for a panoramic view of the Big Apple?

Your stay also features a Niagara Falls day trip by air, an enthralling journey to one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Depart from a local NYC airport and fly to Buffalo, where a private driver escorts you to the Falls for up to five hours of discovery and unforgettable scenery. Feel the refreshing mist during a Maid of the Mist voyage or capture sweeping vistas from the Observation Deck. A two-course lunch at the Hard Rock Café follows before your flight back to New York.

Conclude your adventure by savouring the last moments in Manhattan’s streets before your private transfer to JFK for a seamless direct flight home.
