Julie Chesters

It's Nice To Meet You

Hello my name is Julie Chesters and I am a Travel Counsellor based in Crewe. Thank you for visiting my webpage.

This year I am celebrating 40 years in travel, something I am very proud of. I am as passionate about travel now as I was when I very first started in the industry. I work from home and live in Crewe Cheshire.

I am delighted to have joined Travel Counsellors, 10 years ago now, because it allows me to give you the highest level of personal service and independent impartial advice and allows me to pass on my knowledge and experience to you.

Having worked in the industry for so long I have had the opportunity to visit many places around the world, I have also undertaken many training courses and have a number of qualifications. My first hand knowledge of places such as the Caribbean (one of my favourites being the Bahamas!), America, Far East, Australia, Northern Africa, Middle East, Indian Ocean and Europe helps me make suggestions and recommendations to you when you are considering your own holiday destination.

I have cruised the Med, Caribbean and Middle East. Cruising is something I really enjoy and I can help with all your cruise questions and enquiries.

I can arrange family holidays, weddings abroad (I got married in Florida), honeymoons, stag/hen parties, cruise, ski, flight only and much much more. I also have access to the low cost airlines and can book these along with accommodation and transfers separately to tailor make your holiday.

My customer service is testament to the satisfaction experienced by my many customers who not only use my services over and over again, but who also pass on my name to their family and friends. Indeed, all my business is generated by personal recommendations and repeat customers many of whom I now consider as friends.

My business is based on providing my customers with the highest level of service from booking the holiday to returning home from it, why not give me a call or email me with your details. I will be delighted to assist you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Majorca in March

28 May 2009

Here we are sitting on our sunbeds in Palma Nova at the Hotel Son Matias basking in beautiful early morning sunshine with a fabulous view of the beach right in front of us. Who would believe it was March?! We arrived from Manchester late evening and transferred to the hotel, which took 30 minutes by coach. We chose the Son Matias after calling into the hotel on a previous occasion and deciding next time we came this way it was where we wanted to stay. We had been impressed by the welcome we received from Keith on reception and the cleanliness of the hotel. We made the right decision. The welcome was as warm as the first time, the staff are friendly and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. Each room at the hotel has a sea view to enjoy which is so lovely especially sitting on your balcony! It is an ' Adult Only' hotel which caters 99% for British clientele. The culinary choices were fantastic and always a great selection for evening meal. The food was excellent. I had the pleasure of meeting the Manager Andres who kindly showed me some of the suites available which had been specially adapted for the disabled and less mobile of us. Features included a walk in shower and wider access into the room for wheelchairs. Hoists can also be provided for baths if needed. There is also a hoist that can be used by the swimming pool. The hotel is right on the promenade in Palma Nova, alongside a beautiful Blue Flag awarded beach. It is very flat and very suitable for people with walking difficulties or breathing problems. The area itself is quiet and relaxing and you can get a bus just outside the hotel to take you straight into Palma City for 2.50 euros. Definitely worth a visit! In contrast to its much busier neighbour Magaluf, Palma Nova is suitable for families couples and the elderly. You can get to many other parts of Majorca from the bus stop outside the hotel as well as Palma. Just across the road from the hotel there is a lovely Piano Bar called 'El Mecca' so if you fancy a change from the hotel entertainment Pepe on the Piano will always oblige with a favourite song or two. The bar was one of the first to open in the 60's by local twins who still run it to this day. Nico, the manager and his team Miguel, Jose, Boby and Maria are a really friendly bunch and you can always be assured of good food and a lovely warm atmosphere day or night. Palma Nova has the usual array of souvenir shops along with Bars and Restaurants and the walk along the promenade is lovely. If after all that walking you fancy being pampered just across the way you can get a lovely Massage or Reflexology treatment in the Hotel St Lucia and the prices are very good. I took advantage myself! If you are looking for somewhere not to far from home, give Majorca a visit you -won't regret it. Only 2 hours 45 from Manchester, the scenery in the middle of the island is beautiful and breathtaking and there are lots of great excursions available to get you around. We had a wonderful time, so why not call me and I can tell you more?! I look forward to hearing from you soon!

My customer stories

This is the first time we have used Julie/Travel Counsellors and to be frank, she has been absolutely BRILLIANT!!! We were not getting anywhere with booking on the high street and what should have been an enjoyable experience (booking our family holiday) was fast becoming very stressful. Julie was recommended by a friend on Facebook and 'quickly' took control of our needs and sorted everything out exactly as we wanted. We will definitely be approaching Julie again for our next holiday and will NOT be using the high street again. Extremely impressive.

This is now the third time I have asked Julie to organise my holiday. Every time I have had nothing but the best service from her. There is nothing that is too much trouble for her and I would not hesitate to recommend her to any of my friends.

We can't praise Julie enough for making our trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon a really enjoyable and carefree experience. She looked after all our needs in a very friendly and efficient manner. Nothing seemed to much trouble and we found it especially nice that we felt we could call on Julie for her advice on even the little things. We had a fantastic holiday, thanks Julie.

Exceptional knowledge combined with a tenacity for getting the right location at the right price is what draws me back time after time to Julie and Travel counsellors. Julie's service doesn't cease at me paying the bill, the personal touch continues right up to when I get on the plane. A lovely experience in customer care that I have never come across in any other service.

Julie booked our holiday last year in Aruba and it was fabulous, she arranged upgrades on the flights, oh and what a difference these made. It was the most relaxing holiday we have had, the only down side was the tropical storm on our 2nd day which washed lots of the beach away. Julie had no control on the weather, but the hotel coped well under difficult circumstances.

Julie was recommended, as a lady who had an excellent knowledge of the travel industry and listened to your personal requirements. I have just returned from my first holiday arranged by Julie and it was perfect, all of our expectations were exceeded. The benefit of the service is that she provides a professional, friendly and tailored service that delivers expectations and value for money.

Julie arranged a family holiday for us to New York in August. The service was exeptional. We required tickets for a Yankees game, Julie really excelled herself speaking to colleagues in the US to find out where we could get the tickets and which were the best seats. She is extremely pleasant to deal with and exceptionally helpful. We will definitely be ringing her in the future.

Julie is enthusiastic, efficient, extremely friendly and very cheerul. A holiday should be as simple and easy from the minute you book it to the time you walk back in your front door, and that certainly was the case for our holiday. Julie has a wide knowledge of destinations and will most certainly look at getting you the best deal. I have no hesitation in recommending Julie to my friends.
