It's Nice To Meet You

My name is Julie Taylor and I am an independent travel agent in Bolton. I have been in the travel industry for over 30 years. I joined Travel Counsellors in 1999 and before that I was with a number of independent travel agents in Bolton. Travel and making peoples dreams a reality is my passion. I travel to all corners of our magical world and love sharing my trips and hotel recommendations .

I joined Travel Counsellors as I wanted to concentrate on giving my customers the highest possible levels of personal service and independent travel advice. Travel Counsellors is one of the largest independent travel agencies in the UK.

As your own professional Travel Counsellor I can use our award winning technology and my personal expertise to tailor make exactly the right holiday to suit your needs. Rather than selling you a standard tour operator package, I can quickly search through hundreds of different flight, accommodation and transfer alternatives to find something that suits your needs exactly. Quite often this means I can build you a bespoke holiday at a cheaper price than the standard holiday package you might get elsewhere.

Travel Counsellors recognises that not everyone is free to discuss their travel arrangements during the working week. My company’s award winning technology enables me to work from home and means you can contact me at times when most other travel agents are unavailable, including evenings and weekends.

I have been very blessed and travelled to so many wonderful destinations, all over Europe and further afield ,i have many hidden gems to share with you .

In the last twelve months ,Covid 19 has not only devastated many families ,it has caused chaos in our world of travel .
I have worked very hard supporting my customers ,amending /helping with refunds and basically just being at the end of the phone to support them ..i think travel has gone full circle and more than ever ,the professional ,human travel agent .. not an online one ,will be more valuable than ever in the future .

My business is based purely on providing my customers with the highest possible levels of personal service and I would be delighted to assist you with your holiday plans.

Silverseas Cruises

I was lucky enough to experience five nights sailing the Atlantic on the beautiful Silver Spirit with Silversea Cruises. I joined the ship in Las Palmas, visiting Arrecife, Agadir, Casablanca and then disembarking in Funchal. I have been selling the product for many years, so to experience it first hand was fantastic. I know that in recent years, ship visits (other than day tours) have been few and far between with this company. After a very swift check in, we were whisked to our mid ship Veranda suites with a personal tour by my very dishy butler, who offered to unpack for me. I met up with my fellow travel agents and our host, John, from Silverseas (a totally wonderful human being) for our first dinner, which was first class, not hurried and felt like dining in a top class restaurant. We were encouraged to experience and enjoy the ship for the next five days, to understand the concept and get a feel of what our clients get for their money. The ship offers classy, stylish and wonderful service. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are all constantly smiling (probably a lot to do with the fact that they don’t rely on tips to make up their salaries). We dined in the main restaurant twice as well as the fantastic Le Champagne (where you do pay a small supplement). This features an amazing a la carte menu created by the grand chefs of Relais & Chateaux. For me, dining here was the highlight of the trip. We also sampled La Terrazza Italian restaurant and the new hot rock, where you cook your own steak on a hot stone, out on the deck. I have never experienced such quality and ambience on a cruise ship before. I visited the gym daily and joined the classes. The staff showed a great personal touch there and they really encouraged guests to join in. For what is included, Silverseas are fantastic value for money and straight away, I can see some of my clients (who think they wouldn’t like cruising) totally loving this product. Guests were on the elderly side, but with the fantastic itineraries for the summer months, I will definitely be recommending it to other clients.
