Travel Counsellors enjoy the trip of a lifetime to Universal Orlando Resort

To encourage collaboration (and a bit of friendly competition!) during our busy peaks period, we ran our Global TC Incentive. The incentive saw our business owners all around the world compete in teams to win a coveted place on a very special winner’s trip – a five-night, jam-packed trip to Universal Orlando Resort, which took place last week.

27 Travel Counsellors from the winning team, Team Norway, were joined in Florida by two of our head office colleagues - creating a unique opportunity for our business owners to build relationships with the people who support their franchise behind the scenes.

What our Travel Counsellors got up to Our winners stayed at the Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort – boasting a retro vibe with decor inspired by decades gone by, it was the ideal base for our Travel Counsellors to explore everything Universal Orlando Resort has to offer.

The trip kicked off with a refreshing morning at Universal Volcano Bay – a tropical-themed water park with gravity-defying slides, pools, and a lazy river – giving our guests the option to get their adrenaline pumping or take things a little easier.

After a wet and wild morning, an afternoon of hotel visits was on the cards – with our franchisees taking in Loews Sapphire Falls Report, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. Not only are these trips an opportunity for our business owners to celebrate their success, they’re also a chance to experience products first-hand so they can better advise their customers.

The next day was a day in the parks to enjoy the thrills and spills of Universal’s best-loved rides and attractions, with VIP tours of Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.

Following that was something extra special – the chance to get an exclusive preview of Universal Epic Universe. Opening in May 2025, this-brand new park is set to immerse guests into five themed worlds inspired by the heavens, stars, and constellations, and our Travel Counsellors were among the first travel professionals to get a behind-the-scenes look.

There was also plenty of time to slow down the pace and enjoy some of Orlando’s other key attractions, such as the Orlando Eye, the Florida Mall, and the mind-bending Museum of Illusions.

The final full day gave our Travel Counsellors chance to re-visit the parks and make sure they’d taken in all the rides and shows – including the dazzling Mardi Gras parade, which marked the perfect end to an unforgettable trip.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our valued supplier partners, Universal Orlando Report, Aer Lingus, and DoSomethingDifferent.com for arranging such a fantastic incentive.
