My name is Michael, I’m a Travel Counsellor and I live in Radlett, a commuter village located between Watford and St Albans in Hertfordshire. My family have lived in Hertfordshire since at least the 1600s. That’s probably why I felt the need to escape and see a bit more of the world; travel after all broadens the mind.

Sport and travel have always been passions of mine and I have combined the two by arranging and selling skiing holidays for many years and I have also been involved in running cricket and rugby tours to both the UK and Europe.

I’ve been in the travel industry for over 30 years and have experienced and enjoyed many different roles so I have a great understanding of what you, the customer wants from every aspect of their holiday.

From being an overseas representative in destinations as diverse as Ibiza and Switzerland and contracting hotels, apartments and villas in Cyprus, Turkey, the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, Greek Islands and many, many more fabulous holiday destinations, my main ambition has always been to ensure that everything is right for the customer!

I’m often asked what my favourite holiday destination is and it is so difficult to pick just one place from all the great and varied opportunities out there. However here goes with a few favourites: for skiing I love Italy, as much for the food and atmosphere as the skiing, Australia and India are places I must visit again as there is so much more to see. I have a particular soft spot for Cyprus, its history and its people. My favourite cities must include Florence, New York, Lisbon and Sydney.
