A Caribbean cruise filled with disco hits

10 nights from £2,640 per person based on 2 sharing

This ten-night holiday blends the best of land and sea. It begins with three nights in Miami, a city that thrives on art, music, food, and sunshine, before joining Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady for a seven-night sailing through the Caribbean. You’ll stop in Puerto Plata, Antigua, and St Kitts before ending the cruise at Virgin’s private Beach Club in Bimini. It’s a journey that balances cultural highlights, outdoor adventure, relaxed island living, and nights on board filled with disco entertainment and style.
  • Your trip begins with a hotel stay in Miami, giving you plenty of time to explore the energetic city, including a Miami Skyline Evening Cruise on Biscayne Bay. Once at sea, your first port is Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, bordered by mountains and a long stretch of coastline. You can wander through the Amber Museum to see how the region’s famous gemstone has been used for centuries, or step into the Fortaleza San Felipe, a 16th-century Spanish fortress overlooking the ocean.

  • Sailing onwards, you’ll arrive in Antigua, known for its 365 beaches. Beyond the shoreline, Antigua’s history is just as interesting. Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, gives you a sense of the island’s past with restored naval buildings and stone forts. You can walk the harbour, learn about its role in the Caribbean, and then enjoy a slower pace of life with a rum punch at a harbourside bar.

  • Next is Basseterre, the capital of St Kitts. The town has lively markets where you can try saltfish fritters or spicy jerk chicken, and from there you can branch out into the island’s natural landscapes. For the more active, a hike up Mount Liamuiga takes you into a rainforest filled with birdlife, with views stretching out across both islands.

  • Back on board, your accommodation features thoughtful touches like hammocks on the terrace and mood lighting to suit the time of day. Dining feels more like a city restaurant scene than a cruise ship, with more than 20 options and menus created by world-class chefs. Nights can be as energetic or as easy-going as you prefer, but one of the biggest highlights of this voyage is the headline performance by Nile Rodgers & CHIC, filling the deck with disco and funk under the Caribbean sky.
