Just along the coast, the protected coves of the Papagayo Beaches offer clear water and sheltered sands that are perfect for a beach day. For something different, the volcanic landscapes of Timanfaya National Park show another side of the island, with dramatic lava fields and geothermal activity that make it one of Lanzarote’s most striking natural sights.

Food is a big part of the experience here, especially around the harbour and marina areas of Playa Blanca. Local restaurants serve simple, fresh dishes that highlight the island’s seafood, from grilled fish to traditional Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce.
