• Your journey begins in Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi. Wander through narrow streets lined with craft shops and food vendors, and take in the city’s highlights, including the One-Pillar Pagoda and Hoan Kiem Lake. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at KOTO, a social enterprise that serves up delicious Vietnamese cuisine while supporting local youth.
• Leave the city behind as you set sail on a luxury junk boat through the tranquil waters of Lan Ha Bay. This lesser-known neighbour of Halong Bay offers a more intimate experience, with emerald waters, hidden lagoons, and dramatic limestone karsts. Spend the night aboard the boat and practice Tai Chi on deck the following morning before continuing your journey.
• Travel along the scenic Hai Van Pass to Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital. Explore the grandeur of the Imperial Citadel and take in the city’s royal history. Hue is also a culinary hotspot, known for its delicate and flavourful dishes. Don’t miss the chance to try local specialities like bun bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) or banh khoai (crispy pancakes).
• Your adventure concludes in Cambodia, where you’ll explore the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor. Begin with Angkor Thom, the ancient city known for its intricate carvings and the serene faces of the Bayon Temple. You’ll then end the day at the renowned Angkor Wat, catching the sunset as it casts a warm glow over the temple.
