The location works well if you want to get out and explore the local area. Chania is a short journey away, and its old town is not to be missed – you can wander around the Chania Venetian Harbour, stop for a drink by the water, then back to the resort as the sun begins to set. If you head a little further afield, the edges of the White Mountains give you a completely different feel, with quieter roads and wide-open views.
