• The ranch facilities are spread across a large property, so it never feels busy or enclosed. There are several swimming pools to use between activities, along with walking paths, communal areas, and working stables at the centre of daily life. Horse riding is included and runs throughout the week, with experienced guides leading rides directly from the ranch onto thrilling desert trails.

• Surroundings are very much part of the stay. The ranch sits among saguaro cacti with the Rincon Mountains in the background, and most activities take place outdoors. Trail rides head into the desert, while quieter moments can be spent sitting outside in the evenings when temperatures cool and the sky clears. Tucson is a short drive away, but many guests find there’s enough space and variety on site to stay put for most of the week.

• Breakfast is included each morning and is designed to set you up for active days. Your other meals take cues from regional Arizona and Mexican cooking, served in a communal dining setup that suits the ranch atmosphere. Portions are generous and practical rather than showy, and the focus is on fuelling active days rather than formal dining. It’s the kind of food that fits naturally with early starts and time spent outdoors.

• Accommodation is in a Desert Garden Sala with a queen bed. These are single-storey, adobe-style rooms set among the grounds, offering more privacy than a typical hotel. Rooms are comfortable and well-spaced, with outdoor seating areas and easy access to the rest of the ranch. They’re designed to be quiet and functional, giving you a comfortable base to return to after a full day outside.
