Here, you can stroll along Creek Street, browse local art galleries, and meet Tlingit carvers at Totem Heritage Centre. For something special, join a floatplane tour over the Misty Fjords National Monument, a maze of waterfalls and granite cliffs that feels almost otherworldly.

Sailing through Endicott Arm is a real highlight of the trip. The ship moves slowly between steep cliffs as you approach the Dawes Glacier, with floating ice and deep blue water all around. You can hear the glacier crack and shift in the distance, a powerful reminder of Alaska’s scale and beauty.

In Juneau, Alaska’s capital, take the Mount Roberts Tramway for great views over the town or join a guided walk to the Mendenhall Glacier. The waterfront is full of casual spots to try local halibut and a cold Alaskan beer. In Skagway, step back into the Gold Rush era on the White Pass & Yukon Route railway, a scenic ride through the mountains that follows the old prospectors’ path. Afterwards, explore the town’s wooden boardwalks and stop by one of its historic saloons for a taste of local character.
