This multi-stop journey blends city energy, wildlife encounters, and time on a tropical island. Starting in Cape Town, this itinerary travels through South Africa’s celebrated winelands and along the famous Garden Route, before heading into the bush for a safari in the Eastern Cape. The final chapter shifts to the Indian Ocean, where a few days in Mauritius bring white-sand beaches, warm water, and an easy island pace. Each stop has its own character, creating a journey that moves naturally from lively cities and coastal drives to wildlife reserves and, finally, some relaxing beach time.

A few days in Cape Town at the start of your trip set the tone. Ride the cable car up Table Mountain for sweeping views over the city and coastline, wander the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap, and spend an afternoon exploring the cafés, craft stalls, and working harbour at V&A Waterfront. It’s a city where beaches, mountains, and excellent food all sit within easy reach.
Your journey continues through the Cape Winelands to Franschhoek, a small town surrounded by vineyards and mountain scenery. Here, the focus shifts to long lunches and wine tastings at estates such as Boschendal Wine Estate or La Motte Wine Estate, where farm-to-table menus showcase seasonal local produce. It’s an easy place to slow down, enjoy the views, and settle into the rhythm of the region.
Travelling along the Garden Route brings coastal scenery and small towns, including overnight stops in Swellendam and Plettenberg Bay. Then, the landscape changes again as you head inland for a safari in the Eastern Cape. At Amakhala Game Reserve, guided game drives offer the chance to spot elephants, lions, and giraffes, with evenings spent around the lodge after a day out in the bush.
Your final days are spent in Mauritius. Time can be spent swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, strolling along the beach, or enjoying the resort’s restaurants and relaxed all-inclusive dining.
