The highlight for many is the four-day trek along the classic Inca Trail. Guided by local experts and supported by a team of porters and cooks, you'll walk through stunning Andean scenery, passing lesser-known Incan ruins along the way. The journey culminates at dawn on the final day as you reach the Sun Gate for your first view of Machu Picchu. It’s a challenging but deeply rewarding experience, connecting you to the history and landscape of this incredible region.

This trip goes beyond the usual sights. In the Sacred Valley, you'll visit a local women's weaving co-op in the Ccaccaccollo community. Here, you can see traditional dyeing and weaving techniques firsthand and understand how your visit supports local enterprise. You’ll also enjoy lunch at the Parwa Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco, a farm-to-table programme run by residents.

Peru's food scene is world-renowned, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to dive in. You can choose to take an optional cooking class in Lima or Cusco, where you'll visit a local market to select fresh ingredients before learning to prepare classic Peruvian dishes. In the Sacred Valley, you can also visit a local Chicheria to try traditional corn beer.

Your accommodation is part of the adventure. While on the Inca Trail, you’ll sleep in comfortable campsites under the stars, with all gear carried and set up by your trekking team. In the Amazon, you'll stay at the G Lodge Amazon, an eco-conscious lodge run by community members. The rooms are simple and comfortable, lit by candlelight, with solar-heated showers. Here, you can fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle after a day of guided excursions, spotting caiman by night or searching for giant river otters in oxbow lakes.
