Your trip starts in Shanghai, where tradition and modern life meet. Walk through the Yu Garden, a quiet Ming-era retreat surrounded by the city’s Old Quarter, and see how silk is still produced using techniques passed down through generations. Later, a Huangpu River cruise shows both sides of Shanghai, like the heritage buildings of the Bund and the gleaming skyline of Pudong lit up at night.

From there, visit Guilin before taking a leisurely Li River cruise to Yangshuo, passing limestone peaks, small fishing boats, and villages tucked along the riverbank. Once in town, there’s time to explore West Street’s mix of market stalls and cafés or join a morning Tai Chi session with a local instructor.

Your next stop is Xi’an, home to the world-famous Terracotta Army. Standing among thousands of clay soldiers, each one unique, is an unforgettable sight. Afterwards, head to the city’s Muslim Quarter, where the lanes are packed with food stalls grilling lamb skewers and serving hand-pulled noodles. The journey continues north to Beijing, where you’ll visit the Forbidden City, walk through traditional hutongs to meet local residents, and climb a quieter section of the Great Wall for open views across the countryside.
