Gold Dinner - London

I was lucky to be invited to Travel Counsellors Gold Dinner at the end of February. It was hosted in London at the Mayfair Biltmore. We were truly looked after! It felt a little strange after two years of no events like this but it felt so good to be able to see so many of my fellow TCs and staff at Head Office including the Directors.

It’s been a tough two years in travel and I think we are all still feeling a little battered and bruised but the weekend was a celebration that we made it this far and will continue to do what we do best - look after our customers, to whom I am very grateful for the continuing support you have all shown.

I stayed at the Conrad St James. Its in a great location and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was very good with lots of options and all very fresh. We had a great room with very large bathroom and I am told they have the same mattresses used by The Queen! Definitely a hotel I’d recommend for a London break.

I didn’t have a huge amount of free time but we made the most of it by walking everywhere during the days to get from venue to venue as they were a little spread out. The daffodils in the parks were brilliant and we even caught a bit of changing of the guards (which resulted in us almost missing the train home!). Great city for a few days away though and reminded me that I must take the children again now they are a bit older.

If you are thinking of a break in London, please do remember to give me a try, I'd love to help.
