UK Staycations – what am I able to book?
We have a lot of UK suppliers so I wanted to run through some of the options I am able to offer you, all with the same great service from start to finish and 100% financial protection in the event of a supplier failure! Travel Counsellors has topped 3 surveys by MoneySavingExpert during the pandemic for looking after our customers, so with any booking you make with me, you will be well looked after.
One of the most common requests at the moment is lodges with hot-tubs and wood-burners – we have lots of those all over the countries, including treehouse-style lodges!
Our selection of private houses is extensive too. Our ‘unique collection’ includes overnight stays in a helicopter, an ex-World War II bunker, a hobbit hole to name just a few – we have many more quirky stays available too! The houses themselves range from budget to luxurious, from 1 bedroomed/open plan up to options that take 30 people or more! Some have private swimming pools, hot-tubs, games rooms, spectacular views and so on! Many are deemed family friendly and there lots of options along the British coast and in many of our beautiful National Parks!
If you like a bit of pampering we have a wide choice of hotels, again all over the country and again ranging from budget to luxurious. We feature the exclusive Gleneagles in Scotland, The Laura Ashley Hotel in the Lake District and the Cliveden in Berkshire (where Meghan Markle spent the night before her wedding!). We have a range of family friendly hotels and a boutique range more suited to couples and of course, some that are adult only too. Many are also offering added value such as a meal included on your first evening, a bottle of fizz or maybe an afternoon tea.
One of the more popular requests are the tours (often small groups) that enable you to meet others – they are often themed around interests such as walking, cycling, wildlife or discovery for example. More often than not, they’ll include a major spot of interest such as Hadrian’s Wall, Snowdonia, The Orkney Islands or historic buildings.
For families of course, we can offer stays at many holiday parks where entertainment is included – many of these feature swimming pools (indoors and outdoors), have children’s play areas and offer additional activities to keep everyone busy during their stay!
Independent touring has been another popular request – this can be entirely tailor-made to your requirements and the accommodation can be mix-and-match-style throughout the itinerary. We can even provide a motorhome for you to tour in if you fancy a little more adventure! A popular itinerary is the North Coast 500 in Scotland, Cornwall is always a top request but with it being so far for so many, making it into a road-trip allows you to enjoy different parts of the UK without a long drive at the beginning and end!
Not forgetting our amazing islands too – I can offer all of the above on the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man and Scottish Islands!
