Britannia Visit March 2016

Caroline Howden on 16 March 2015
Last week I was lucky enough to be able to spend 2 nights onboard the latest addition to the P&O Cruises fleet. Britannia is certainly a very impressive ship, the huge version of the Union Jack along the ships means she will not be missed in port.

This ship has been designed by a leading hotel designer and that shows, she is sleek, smart and modern. Traditional features such as the Crows Nest or familiar named restaurants haven't been forgotten either. As you get onboard the 3 deck atrium is striking, from here stairs take you to various public areas or you can just sit and watch the world go by.

Britannia has some new attractions - such as Epicurean an A la Carte dining room, The Live Lounge a dinner and cabaret area or The Cookery Club. The Cookery Club will host a variety of leading chefs offering cookery class and a chef's dining experience - may be you will see James Martin, Atul Kochar, or the wonderful Mary Berry and many more.

Not forgetting The Retreat a lovely quiet area up on deck, or the Glass House wine bar, or the Market Café a patisserie or the Oasis Spa for a relaxing treatment and much more.

I have attached a few photographs taken whilst onboard, if you would like to know more about Britannia and where she will be sailing to over the coming months do get in touch by phone 01425 639155 / 0800 093 1320 or by email caroline.howden@travelcounsellors.com

Britannia will sail from Southampton until October and then spend her first season in the Caribbean.
