Holiday to Majorca

Caroline Howden on 30 September 2017
I have recently returned from my own holiday to Majorca, I have been in the travel business many years but have never managed to get to this popular Mediterranean island.

For the first part of the week I was lucky enough to stay at the stunning La Residencia hotel up in the mountain village of Deia. This property used to be owned by Richard Branson, it is now a 67-suite hotel part of the Belmond group. Belmond are the group who own Orient Express and other luxurious properties, trains and River Cruises around the world, all handpicked for their quality and location.

This hotel is all about switching off and enjoying your surroundings in a peaceful tranquil place, as soon as you arrive you relax.

The service is almost invisible, nothing is too much trouble, they will arrange various side trips for you, a donkey trek up in the surrounding area ending with an exclusive lunch prepared by the chefs or you can take a boat trip around Port Soller or take lunch in Casa Deia the restaurant featured in The Night Manager.

They have a main pool area as well as an adults-only pool and an indoor pool linked to the Spa.

This really is a special place, if you are looking for somewhere to relax, to celebrate or just enjoy - only a short flight from the UK then this is the place for you.

Simply stunning, if you would like to see more photographs then visit by Facebook business page - look for Caroline Howden Cruise Specialist.
