Black Friday...Is the hype worth it?
Is now the best time to book next year's holiday?
It's easy to be cynical about the numerous Black Friday deals but should you really book now or wait?
In the past few weeks it's the one question I have consistently been asked at networking events and by customers. Should we book whilst the Black Friday deals are on or wait?
My simple answer is that I am booking my own holiday right now as the offers are quite astonishing this year.
The concept of Black Friday is still relatively new to the travel world but even compared to last year, there are more offers and they are starting earlier (most companies offers are now live and kicking!)
I am constantly updating my client's quotes this week as pretty much every operator is jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon and creating a buzz. These are genuine savings I am getting to update customers on and they are especially enticing if it is next year you are looking to travel. For example, only today I have seen around £100 savings on average on a range of holidays I have been keeping an eye on for people. These aren't off fresh quotes either, these are off the pricing I might have given 1/2 weeks ago and they are now reduced.
Is there a real sense of urgency with Black Friday deals? I'd say so. Some offers I have seen around are literally offering up to 50% off (yes I'm eyeing up some cruise lines here!). Will these deals be around forever? No. Black Friday sales are often limited, specific and will be supply driven. So it's fastest finger first for some of the best deals.
Personally, we are booking our Summer 2026 holiday to Fuerteventura whilst we are happy with the pricing and knowing what it normally costs the time of year we will be securing our very own dates whilst the sales are on.
So where are you planning on going? If you are nearing the booking stage or have been mulling an idea over for a while now is the time to drop me a line and see what the best deals are. Let's make the Black Friday sales work for you!
