After 3 nights we flew to Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. Flying time 2 hours and 30 minutes. This destination is very popular with Americans and Canadians. I arranged a return private transfer to our hotel, where we were staying at the Hard Rock hotel for 4 nights on all inclusive basis. The hotel has an amazing lobby with plenty of stars memorabilia on show. When we checked in at the hotel, we checked in VIP Rockstar area where Joseph checked us in. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and offered us amazing deal for insurance which we both never heard or experience before in the past. Up to 7 days $12.00 per person to cover all treatment and hospital cost which we both decided to take. We stayed in room number 5379 which had a lovely view of the gardens. The room was lovely and spacious with TV, Minibar, Safe and an amazing bathroom with shower and bath. The hotel has 9 restaurants see below. You were given a red and green card when you sit down for your meal, with lots of various meats served to you at the table. As you can guess green card keep serving meal and red stop! We both came out of the restaurant being fully stuffed after that meal. We also had breakfast, which was hot and cold buffet choices. The all inclusive package has to be one of best packages I’ve had in the Caribbean, as it included the following - Top-shelf drinks, 24/7 in-room service, Delicious snacks, including poolside service, Land sport Nightly entertainment. The hotel has 23 bars and lounges. We didn’t venture to all of them all due to the short time at this hotel. It has an amazing bowling alley, Arcade Center, Mini Golf. Nightclub and 20 shops plus Casino for over 18 years old. The Hard Rock Casino is biggest in Dominican Republic 4,459 square meters with 25 tables and 435 slot machines. The hotel has a spa with 52 treatment cabins. My wife had a spa treatment, saying it was amazing and one of her best spa treatments. We managed to witness a pool party during our stay, there were plenty of people participating. We also saw the amazing water park ,which is probably one of the best water park I have seen in the Caribbean. The hotel features 13 expansive pools, 4 swim-up bars and 3 kids pools with flume waterslides. The hotel also has a conference centre too. Sadly I had to go to hospital during my stay as I had an abscess on my finger which was really painful. I had to stay overnight but I was well looked after by the hospital and I was discharged the day before I was leaving to go back home. Lucky I took out the hotel insurance as all the cost was paid which was over 4K. I was gutted to miss out on using all the hotel facilities and trying out all the restaurants. This hotel is great for families, Couples and groups. We would definitely like to come back to this hotel. A special thanks to Graham Brooks and Hilda Pinto at RCD hotels for arranging this complimentary hotel stay for me and my wife at Hard Rock Punta. This hotel is incredible and highly recommended by me.The hotel sounds big but plenty of space and something for everyone, it certainly beat my expectations! We were impressed that check out at the hotel was 12pm, but you could still have a meal or snack at the coffee shop before catching your flight back home. We were sad to be going back, we flew back via Miami to London with American Airlines. My top tip would be to book your restaurants in advance at Hard Rock Punta Cana and also take out hotel travel insurance when checking in at the hotel.
