Cruising into October with Virgin Voyages

Travel Counsellors runs monthly incentives linked to sales and engagement and back in July 2024 we were all put into over 30 global teams for our very own Olympics challenge. I was in a great team and although we were pipped to the post and came second, I was still lucky enough to win a place on a Virgin Voyages Mediterranean cruise.

It was my first time on a cruise and I was one of 35 TC's on board so a great start to my cruising journey. This cruise embarked from Barcelona and we visited Toulon, Rome, Ibiza and the bonus port of Ajaccio in Corsica due to some stormy weather - happy to say I didn’t feel it! It was a perfect itinerary as we took in some of the best ports in the Med, the weather was still warm and we managed to visit 3 countries in a week with very little effort involved.

Virgin Voyages is the only adults only cruising option with plenty to do including theatre shows, quizzes, live music and multiple places to chill out and relax in. It’s an all inclusive price so includes all food (with speciality Italian, Steak and Mexican restaurants), soft drinks, standard WiFi and gratuities so you will know exactly what you are spending. Boarding was super easy and the service throughout the week was second to none.

My favourite port was Ibiza and the Old Town was stunning on a Friday evening where we mooched around the shops and exclusive boutiques and of course sampled some of the local wine and tapas. This certainly wont be my last cruise!
