Stornaway & The Isle of Skye
We’ve just returned from a five night cruise on board Fred. Olsens flagship vessel ‘Bolette’ (named after Fred. Olsen’s great grandmother)
We cruised to the Scottish Highlands visiting Stornaway and the Isle of Sky, sailing by Fingals Cave, Dutchmans Cap and other of the smaller islands, the scenery was amazing!
We sailed from Liverpool which was SO easy! We parked the car, jumped into the waiting minibus and in a few minutes we were on board.
The ship has 690 cabins with 645 crew and on board there are two pools, eight bars and six restaurants.
All cabins are quite spacious, I was surprised at how roomy they were. All cabins offer tea and coffee making facilities and room service is on offer until eleven pm.
The food and the choice of food was excellent, the staff were SO attentive without being ‘over the top’ my favourite restaurant is the 'Bloomsbury' ??
There was a huge programme of activities to keep you entertained whilst on board from art classes, lectures, dance classes and cookery demonstrations. We enjoyed every minute!
If you’ve ever wondered about trying a cruise this five night option is a perfect ‘taster’
