Neilson Beach Club Activity Holiday

Jayne Nuttall on 01 October 2023

My youngest son Louis and I decided to try out a ‘Mum and Son’ activity holiday together (in Greece)

This type of holiday is perfect for solo travellers, couples and small groups - it was amazing! We LOVED it!

The food was excellent, the staff were brilliant, and the activities were perfect for us, tennis every day and water sports galore!

We had SUCH a good time I can’t tell you, and guess what, we’re going again this year ??

Here is my report ………………..

Let’s go on an activity holiday!

So long as there are yoga classes, good food, a fabulous beach and of course sunshine, then yes, let’s ??

We flew to Kalamata on the Greek Mainland for a brilliant week at Messini Beach Club.

Facing the wide sandy bay at Analipsi, with a beautiful mountain backdrop, you couldn’t get a better place!

On the short 20 minute transfer from the airport we were handed our room keys, no need to queue to check in on arrival, not at this place! We went straight to our room.

In your room you’ll find your own beach/pool towel and water bottle which you keep for the week and fill up at any of the many water fountains.

Activities and experiences such as dinghy sailing, kayaking, mountain biking, tennis and lots of others are all included in the cost of your holiday here (we played tennis, went paddle boarding and had our first try at water-skiing!)

Childrens clubs are also available.

The clientele in resort were a good mix of couples and small tennis groups – this type of holiday is ideal for multi-generational families as all age groups are well-catered for, from babies through to teenagers and then Mums and Dads and grandparents too!

We saw a couple having their first try at water skiing, we got talking to them afterwards, they turned out to be grandparents! They said they planned to try out everything on offer! Good on them ??

Food here was excellent the whole week, breakfast and lunch are included every day, and four evening meals are also included, all are buffet style and children are very well catered for (with their own section of the restaurant)

You can choose to eat out on the three free nights, there are tavernas just down the road or jump on the bus into Kalamata for the evening if you fancy venturing out – I like that they do this as it helps keep the local tavernas busy.

If you want to ‘stay in’, the hotel offers ‘al fresco’ a bar menu and a BBQ evening on your free nights.

After a week of good food, daily activities and afternoons in the sunshine we returned home relaxed and rejuvenated.
