Palma, Mallorca Break

We enjoyed a 5 night trip to Playa de Palma in September. It is an area we haven't stayed in before and ideal for a short break. Our base was the Iberostar Waves Playa De Palma, and adult only hotel right on the beach. The hotel in a great location with views across Palma Bay. Our room was a little small, but bright and nicely decorated and had the added advantage of a balcony, with sea and sunset views. There is a buffet restaurant, bar, lounge and outside seating + two pools, one of which was on the rooftop terrace and spa. With access to the esplanade, where there are plenty of restaurants/bars and shops to mooch around. The beach had lovely golden sands and beds and umbrellas to hire (avoid the ones in front of the hotels, as more expensive). There is a bus stop just along from the hotel and we got the bus into Palma Centre which only costs €2.00 each way, a bargain! Palma is a lovely city with lots of interesting buildings and of course, it's stunning cathedral. If you are looking for a break with the added advantage of a nice beach, but with close proximity to Palma centre, this resort and hotel is an ideal choice.
