First Visit to Dubai

Dubai is great to soak up year round sunshine and with a direct flight with Emirates from Birmingham 3 times a day it is easy to travel to the Middle East without any hassle.

Most people may look to visit Dubai on route to the Indian ocean, far east or Australasia. It is great for a short stop over but as Dubai offers so much I would highly recommend you visit Dubai for your main holiday as it does not disappoint.

Families or couples will find paradise, you may find it very difficult knowing where and how to start planning your vacation, as each hotel offer's something unique and you have so many luxurious hotels to choose from with a variety of facilities. I would speak to my clients directly in order to offer the best accommodation for you.

I stayed on the Palm in the Zabeel Saray hotel. This hotel is part of the Jumeirah group and with the Half Board you have a huge variety of restaurant choice which makes it very good value. I cannot rate the hotel highly enough service, facilities and food were excellent. With complimentary access to the wild wadi waterpark which is great for big kids as much as it is the little kids.

You can shop until you drop in the air conditioned malls. You can even have a go at skiing!!!

Some of my highlights included going up the highest building in the world the BURJ KHALIFA, watching the Dubai fountains show, afternoon tea in the BURJ AL ARAB the only 7* hotel in the world having a view of the world, beach and the city was amazing a top tip is to pre book and arrive early to try to get a window seat to take in the gorgeous view.

As I went for a short break I made sure I had everything pre booked to save time I did find 4 nights was long enough to relax and take in some of the sightseeing, an ideal duration i think would be a week to 10 days. Everyone who books with me I would pre book all excursions and restaurants as required.

What impressed me about Dubai was the standard of service, I found everyone to be extremely friendly. Food standard was excellent my favourite was the Rib Room in my hotel where the food was exquisite. It really was a clean destination.

Top tips...

Plan ahead it is a great destination it would be a shame not to make the most of it.

Approaching Arab women, when greeting Arab women it is not customary to shake hands.

Don't drink too much alcohol, it is fine to have it in moderation. I would say if you do like to drink grab something in the airport duty free as much better value.

Don't import or take drugs unless you want to extend your holiday in jail.

To have the human touch when booking your next holiday please give me a call as I would love to share my experiences with you.
