Club Med - Bali

A week of relaxing in Bali.

This was my first visit to Bali, (I know, how have I missed this special place!) We picked Bali as I have always wanted to visit and the climate seemed perfect for August, which so many places in Asia are not at that time of year.

The weather was a super 28 degrees, sunny and not too humid - the dry season. We had one day of rain in the hills of Ubud but that didn't matter as it made it fun seeing the rice fields and coffee plantations and shopping under umbrellas.

Club Med's Bali is excellent: three pools, including a lovely adult-only infinity pool with swinging double sunbeds, two restaurants, buffet and a la carte. Great food from all geographical areas so something for everyone. The days become quiet as most kids disappear to the kid’s clubs. All activities are available throughout the days, six hole golf, many tennis courts, football, windsurfing, snorkelling trips to the reef, trapezes (yes I did have a go) and yoga and Pilates every day.

Great value and the biggest beach and garden areas along the stretch and walking distance to the shopping centre in Nusa Dusa.
